Being that it's American Thanksgiving, I can't help but fondly look back on my Mom today. She always instilled in me a deep pride and appreciation for the American blood pulsing through my veins. This was one of the most special days I used to have as a kid and as a man.

The Hitman's Update March 30, WrestleMania 27 Preview
I'm looking forward to WrestleMania 27, especially because it's in Atlanta, a city that had a truly rich pro wrestling history going back decades until Eric Bischoff killed it deader than dead with WCW in 2000. I worked Atlanta back in 1981 when it was Georgia Championship Wrestling and it's terrific that WWE is inducting the greatest monster heel the wrestling business ever knew. Abdullah the Butcher terrorized the Stampede territory when I was a kid. From there he hit Japan like Godzilla, drawing tons of money and tons of fans. He is the King of Heels, if you ask me. I won't be at Wrestlemania this year but just knowing legends like Harley Race will be at Axxess makes me want to book my flight.

Update Nov 26, 2010
First off, Happy belated Thanksgiving to all my American Hitman fans everywhere. I always celebrate the American side of my heritage in memory of my American mother, Helen, and although I didn't actually have a turkey this year, my family celebrated by watching NFL all day and me texting greetings to all the American wrestlers and friends I've befriended over the years. It was hard not to get too miserable arriving home to a bone chilling minus 30 below zero.
Appearance Change
Unfortunately Bret is no longer scheduled to be at the upcoming Manchester Monday Night Raw on Nov 8. He will be at the WWE Live event in London On Nov 9, We appologize for the inconvenience.

Update Oct 5, 2010
I have to say that last week was one of the most special nights I've ever had. For many years, I thought if I had a chance to go back to just one city, one building one more time, where would it be? Deep in my heart I've probably always known it was New York's Madison Square Garden.
What made it even more special was being able to fulfill an even larger, more meaningful dream: that of tag-teaming with Natalya, David Hart Smith, and Tyson Kidd, the Hart Dynasty. I often wished that I'd somehow find a way to join them; to wrestle in MSG is every young wrestler's dream. I couldn't help but feel the presence of both my parents, Davey, and the ghosts of too many wrestlers gazing down from heaven. I can't tell fans just how impossible this all was only months ago, but to walk out past my wife Steph, my oldest daughter Jade, her man Kyle, and my granddaughter Krya with my theme song blasting was just incredible.
Update Aug 23, 2010
Summerslam has come and gone and, in so many ways, it all seems like a crazy dream. Tagging up with John Cena was a personal pleasure and it was more than a treat to sit down with him before the match and watch him lay down the strategies of our team from start to finish. Despite my so-called bout with Vince McMahon at WrestleMania, this scenario at Summerslam would be much closer to the types of matches I had 12 years ago.
Update July 18, 2010
It was grey and hazy on a Monday afternoon with dark clouds seemingly far off in the distance. I was riding my new Specialized bicycle enjoying my favorite ride on the bike path heading West towards the Pumphouse Theater and Edworthy Park. As it got closer, I couldn't help but vividly remember my 2002 stroke. Within seconds, it started to rain small hail stones that clattered off my helmet. I shook my head thinking, "Calgary weather", but within seconds balls started whipping harder suddenly; growing into golfball-sized hail stones.
Update July 1, 2010
I feel that it's ridiculous for anyone to think they are serving the best interests of Owen's memory or his children to pretend he wasn't a wrestler. Not only was he a wrestler, he was a great one and proud of it. I personally believe Martha Hart has done nothing to keep his memory alive and sadly, he fades from view a little more every year. I do suspect this lawsuit is more about publicity, ego, and small-mindedness than it is about pro-wrestling and all of those that are in it.
Update June 26, 2010
As far as the recent lawsuit filed by Martha, I'm working on a detailed response that I will post soon, but I think my fans might be a little surprised at my take on things. Aside from that, I know that the WWE Universe is more than curious to know what my status is anymore and the truth is nobody knows, including me. There are a lot rumors out there about me and all I can say is that they're rarely true. I will have some major announcements forthcoming, but right now I'm going to keep the lid on things because I'm not looking for any distractions.
Update May 27, 2010
"First, I want to congratulate the Hitmen on a great season despite losing in overtime to the Brandon Wheat Kings in the semi-final of the Memorial Cup. It was such a thrill for me to plant my lips on the Ed Chynoweth trophy when they won the WHL championship. Much like back in 99' when some jerk playing for the Ottawa 67's sucker-shot Brad Stuart, who then couldn't play because of a severe concussion in the final of which we barely lost in overtime, I can't help but wonder how much different things might have gone if the jerk off Tri City American player hadn't slashed our best player Brandon Kozan across the ankle in the WHL final round, which very likely effected everything. To cheap-shot second-rate players like that, all I can say is what goes around comes around. Although we've come close in 15 years to winning the Memorial Cup twice, I know that one of these days, we'll finally drink from the silver cup.
Fan Contest winner photos May 2010

WrestleFest May 22
I deeply regret having to disappoint my fans in the Bay Area but, unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the BTW WrestleFest tomorrow (May 22). Not only will I miss my Bay Area fans but I'll miss many of my peers past and present, and future.
Update May 19, 2010
How cool it is to be back in Toronto where I have so many fond memories. I'm presently in town trying to catch up with a million friends and still trying to shake off my reoccurring disbelief that I'm the United States Champion for the fifth time. I ask myself if that means that I'm the best wrestler in the United States? Does this somehow top the Hart Foundation's 19-second win over The Bolsheviks at WrestleMania VI? Does this top peeling off a Tie Domi jersey and Hitmen jersey to reveal a steel chest plate that knocked Bill Goldberg out cold? I also find it oddly amusing that I won the US title in Canada.
Update May 12, 2010
Wow, what a week. I finally became a proud grandfather yesterday when my oldest, Jade, gave birth to a 8lbs., 11oz. beautiful baby girl named Kyra Beans Hart. To be a grandpop is such an important role in a child's life and I look forward to being a big part of her life and the best grandpa ever. Like all proud grandfathers, I truly feel blessed at this time and I also congratulate her mother, Julie, on a job well done from the very beginning.
Update April 18, 2010
What a $%#@ week! I thought that this week was going to be a week filled with nothing but great memories, especially since I was going to be a part of both WWE supergroups: Raw and Smackdown. I had such a terrific time but, for me, it was a special treat to be back in Europe again. I finally made it back to Hanover, where I worked early in my career back in 1981. Hanover was always a city I loved. Although I've been back to Germany many times over the years, the WWE, oddly enough, never came to Hanover. I finished the tour with hugs and smiles and anxiously awaited what would've been my triumphant return to the New York area for Raw this Monday at the Meadowlands. I
Update April 7, 2010
I'm scrambling now to make my way to the Calgary airport. I'm looking very much to this WWE tour of Europe and the markets that probably loved me the most. So many memories; Berlin, I really had some terrific matches there. I hope that my German fans will come out for what could be my last time ever. I recall Vince McMahon telling
me once "that Germany has never come back since you left in '97".
From there Glasgow, another city filled with great memories, in and out of the ring. Although I saw a great crowd turnout for my book signings last summer, I hope Glasgow and all the Hitman loyalists come out for the pink and black.
