On Saturday, December 20th Bret was interviewed by Paul Jay, maker of the critically acclaimed landmark documentary, Wrestling With Shadows (and about 30 others!). The new interview will be included in a collectors edition DVD set commemorating the 10th anniversary of the release of Wrestling With Shadows, which will be available soon. Bret did the interview from home in Calgary while recuperating from knee surgery. And what is Paul doing now? We encourage you to watch these videos in which Paul explains the mission statement of TheRealNews Network.

I want to take this opportunity to thank my fans from all over the world for their well wishes during my knee surgery. A couple of weeks ago I was invited to visit The Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D.C. I got to see and meet the real heroes of the free world, who, without knowing it, gave me more than enough courage to have total knee replacement surgery.

The Hitman versus ‘The Wrestler’
The Wrestler is being lauded as the definitive portrayal of pro wrestling, but I submit that’s only because no one has asked a real wrestling champion about it—until now. In the movie, Randy “The Ram” Robinson was a main-eventer who sold out Madison Square Garden. So was I. The movie opens with a montage of clippings and event posters eerily similar to the ones in my personal collection. I lived that life for real. I liked the movie, and I’m disturbed by it.
